How To

GHK-CU (Copper Peptide)

This overview is for educational use only and assumes you're working in a research setting with proper materials and safety protocols.

🧪 Step-by-Step Instructions for Using GHK-CU (Copper Peptide)

Important: GHK-Cu is an investigational peptide. It is not approved for general use outside clinical trials. Always follow local laws and safety protocols.

1. Gather Your Supplies

You’ll need:

  • GHK-CU peptide (glass vial containing 100mg of peptide powder)

  • Bacteriostatic or saline water, for reconstitution (this is sterile and safe to be used for injections. Once opened, any unused water must be discarded, do not keep any open water for later use)

  • Alcohol swabs (these are used to wipe the skin of the injection site and the vial's rubber top before use)

  • Sterile syringe with fixed needle (most people use a 1ml/100IU (international units) syringe with a fixed, 30g needle - these are very fine and cause minimal discomfort)

All required supplies are available to purchase from our store.

Ensure you are working on a clean, flat surface and that you have washed your hands with warm, soapy water and have thoroughly dried your hands with a clean, dry towel.

2. Preparing GHK-Cu for Injection

GHK-Cu is sold and shipped as a dry powder in a sterile, vacuum sealed glass vial. GHK-Cu can not be sold pre-mixed as it would become expired if not properly refrigerated between mixing and dosing.

  • Clean the area of the bacteriostatic/saline vial that you will pierce with the needle as well as the rubber seal of the GHK-Cu vial (remove the plastic cap) with an alcohol swab.

  • Draw your required dose of bacteriostatic or saline water slowly into your syringe. Most people mix 100mg of GHK-Cu with 3ml/300 units (3 x full syringe) basteriostatic/saline water.

  • Slowly inject the water into the GHK-Cu vial, letting it run down the side to avoid damaging the peptide. (ensure there are no air bubbles in the syringe)

  • Gently swirl (don’t shake) until fully dissolved.

3. Calculate Your Dosage

  • GHK-Cu dosing should be gradual until you confirm what your body can tolerate.

  • It is commonly 0.03mL/3 units daily for weeks 1-4

  • Moving on to 0.06mL/6 units daily for weeks 5-8

  • Use a dosage calculator (linked on our main "how to" page or chart to determine how much volume (in mL or IU) corresponds to this with your setup.

NOTE: the above is calculated from a reconstitution of one 100 mg vial with 3mL of bacteriostatic water (do not exceed 3 mL). This creates a ~33.3 mg/mL solution.
NOTE: A 1 mg dose is about 3 units, which is under 10 units. For greater precision, consider using smaller (30-unit or 50-unit) syringes.

4. Administer the Dose

  • GHK-Cu is typically administered via subcutaneous injection (under the skin).

  • Ensure there are no air bubbles in the syringe when administering your dose, air bubbles can cause an inaccurate dose reading and can lead to complications. Clear air bubbles by tipping the filled syringe upside down (needle at top) and slowly pushing the syringe in until a tiny drip comes out of the needle.

  • Clean the injection site (abdomen or thigh - a fatty area, most users will inject upper glutes) with an alcohol swab.

  • Pinch the skin, insert the needle at a 45-degree angle, and inject slowly.

  • Inject the dose via 2-3 smaller injections, close to one another and massage for upto 5 minutes following to minimise the injection site reaction that is common with GHK-Cu.

  • Dispose of the syringe safely.

GHK-CU use should not exceed use after 8 weeks on, followed by an 8 week break.

Storage and Safety

  • Store reconstituted GHK-Cu in the fridge (2–8°C).

  • Use within 30 days of mixing.

  • Keep all materials sterile and dispose of sharps properly.

  • Do not pre-make syringes.

  • Do not re-use syringes.
